Blackpool firm a step ahead of the rest
One of the leading law firms in the region, Blackhurst Budd, is investing more than £100,000 in the system, which will help streamline processes and improve customer service.
Blackhurst Budd commissioned IRIS Law Business to put the system in place. The new technology will allow certain administration processes to be automated, saving time for staff who can focus on achieving the best legal results for clients.
Warren Spencer, Manager Partner of Blackhurst Budd, said: "This new IT system is a major financial investment for the firm, but we belive it will have a huge impact both for our clients and for the growth of the business."
"The legal market has become increasingly competitive and to survive you have to be progressive and client focused; at Blackhurst Budd we intend to be just that. The IT system is part of this strategy; by investing in a state of the art software we will be able to automate basic legal processes. This will free up staff time to focus on just achieving the best results for clients and providing them with a service which will be second to none in the region."
Blackhurst Budd was formed in April 2009 following a merger of three of the Fylde's biggest legal firms, when the Senior Partners of Blackhursts LLP, John Budd & Co and LSC Solicitors joined forces. The merger made Blackhurst Budd the leading practice in the Fylde in terms of size, expertise and the range of services they offer.
The firm now boasts 55 members of staff and 13 partners and is one of the Fylde's leading law firms. Managing Partner at the law firm Warren Spencer won the title of "Solicitor of the Year" in 2009 at the Law Society Awards.
Blackhurst Budd has also obtained the prestigious Lexcel accreditation, awarded to firms which meet the highest standards in management and customer care.
Mr Spencer said: "The firm has gone from strength to strength over the last two years, because we have been focused on investing in staff and the business, and making sure that we deliver the right results for the client. With our new IT system in place I am looking forward to further expansion in 2011, and cementing our place as the legal firm for the Fylde coast."
