Blackhurst Budd LLP has a reputation for its expertise in professional negligence cases.

Our professional negligence department leader Neil Jones is a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association. This is a reflection of a number of cases we have brought for clients against other professionals including other solicitors.

This does not make us popular with our colleagues but our view has always been to act firmly where clients have been badly served by other professionals.

We were the acting solicitors in the successful appeal to the House of Lords in 2005 of the leading case on conflict of interest of Hilton-v-Barker Booth and Eastwood. We were then working under the name of John Budd & Co solicitors.

Warren Spencer also has considerable experience in dealing with clinical and dental negligence cases. He has been involved in a number of significant, large value cases including a recent case against the Ministry of Defence worth over £3m.
