A team of intrepid explorers from Blackhurst Budd Solicitors, keen to face a challenge, but not too concerned about their personal wellbeing, have signed up for this gruelling challenge.

The trek, organised by ‘Action for Charity’ and ‘Dream Challenges’, begins at 7am on 21st June and covers 50 miles of the beautiful Pennine countryside. The full distance must completed in under 24 hours so there is no time for dawdling (or for sleep!).

The team consists of Iain Blundell, Katy Shakeshaft, Faye Harper, Caron Bridson and Janine Cato (with Jim Egan on standby). The team are not experienced walkers (or trekkers) and this is sure to be quite a challenge! The distance is equivalent to two marathons and the ascents are equal to climbing both Ben Nevis and Snowdon!

The aim of the challenge is to raise funds for an excellent charity, MedEquip4Kids. This Charity does a lot of very worthwhile work, providing paediatric medical

equipment and facilities and helping children and families in times of illness or injury. The Charity was established in 1985 and relies entirely on public donations. More information is available on their website at www.medequip4kids.org.uk
