The Team from Blackhurst Budd successfully completed the Tough Mudder course earlier this month.   The seven-strong team completed the daunting 11 mile course in around 4 hours, taking on various obstacles like ‘Kiss of Mud’, ‘Mud Mile’, ‘Cry Baby’ and ‘Everest’.  It was truly a test of strength, stamina, teamwork and determination!

The Team was raising money for a local charity, StreetLife.  They do a lot of very worthwhile work, helping vulnerable young people in Blackpool and have a base just around the corner from our Edward Street offices.  We were pleased to have the opportunity to support such a worthwhile cause and would direct you to their website for further details of the work they do;

Blackhurst Budd would like to thank the brave (or stupid!) participants; Craig Aikman, Iain Blundell, Dominic Haley, Faye Harper, Luke Robinson, Ed White and Ashley Dribben (from Metcalf Estate Agents).

Iain Blundell, a Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution Department commented: “The course was very hard, but the day was great fun.  The rain didn’t put us off and just made the mud even muddier!  By the end of the day we were all absolutely covered in mud, aching and with minor cuts and grazes.  We were grateful to see the finish line!”

Faye Harper, a Director and Conveyancing Solicitor added: “We absolutely loved it – despite the mud, rain, ice-cold water and electrocution  – and have already spoken about signing up for another challenge next year.  The charity does great work locally and we are pleased to be able to support them in this way”.
