Jim Egan is a paralegal with over 20 years’ experience in family law matters. He specialises in all aspects of family law, including divorce, civil partnership dissolutions and residence and contact disputes.
Jim is also regularly instructed by parents in circumstances where there is Social Services involvement within the family, where the Local Authority is considering making an application to the Court or where the children may be removed from the family.
Clients who have been subjected to domestic violence are able to apply to the Courts for non-molestation Orders (injunctions) and Occupation Orders (to remain in the family home). Jim is highly experienced in assisting these clients, can offer realistic and sensitive advice, and can bring these applications before the Courts on an emergency basis within a matter of hours or days.
Jim is an avid Strictly Come Dancing fan, a supporter of Everton Football Club and an eater of Ginger Biscuits. He is a keen cyclist and recently participated in a charity Krypton Factor obstacle course to raise awareness and funds for the NSPCC.
