Blackhurst Budd Sponsors Blackpool Karate Athletes Heading to World Championships

Blackhurst Budd Solicitors is proud to support Blackpool Karate as 12 members of the club prepare to represent England at the upcoming World Championships in Cadiz.

The athletes earned their places following an outstanding performance at the National Championships. Their selection represents a major achievement for Blackpool Karate, which is one of the smaller clubs competing at this level.

Despite its growing reputation and impressive competitive record, the club does not have its own dedicated training facility. Classes take place four times a week in a local church hall in Bispham, making the success of its athletes even more remarkable.

The selected fighters have already begun additional training sessions ahead of the World Championships at the end of October. Alongside the physical preparation required to compete internationally, the athletes and their families face significant costs, including travel, competition fees, uniforms and specialist equipment.

Blackhurst Budd has agreed to provide financial support to help the team prepare for the competition and ensure that all 12 athletes have the opportunity to represent their country on the world stage.

Warren Spencer, Managing Director at Blackhurst Budd Solicitors, said:

“Blackpool Karate’s success is a fantastic example of what can be achieved through commitment, discipline and community spirit. For 12 athletes from one Blackpool club to be selected to represent England is an exceptional achievement.

“We hope our contribution helps the athletes focus on their training and enjoy the experience of competing on the world stage. Everyone at Blackhurst Budd wishes them the very best of luck in Cadiz.”

Blackpool Karate has already begun its own fundraising activity to help meet the considerable costs associated with taking a team to an international championship.

Dale Noble, Chief Instructor at Blackpool Karate, said:

“We are incredibly proud of all 12 athletes who have been selected to represent England. Their success reflects the hard work they have put into their training, as well as the commitment of their families, coaches and everyone involved with the club.

“Competing at a World Championship is an amazing opportunity, but it also comes with substantial costs. We would like to thank Blackhurst Budd for its support, which makes a big difference and helps us ensure that every selected athlete has the chance to compete.”

The firm will be following the team’s progress closely as the athletes continue their preparations for Cadiz.
